Neuralink is preparing for its first human patient, a quadriplegic who will use the chip to control computers and phones via thought. A future application called "BlindSight" aims to restore vision to the blind by bypassing the eyes and sending high-resolution data directly to the brain. This technology could eventually allow humans to see in ultraviolet, infrared, and radar spectrums, similar to the character Geordie LaForge from Star Trek.
