Unless they have those supplies coming to their frontline units, their front line units will begin to run out of fuel, run out of ammunition and their morale will take a hit. Well how does it feed in here though?

The first battle and larger battle in Donbass, the Ukrainians suffered a double envelopment in which their forces were annihilated and the Russians tried to repeat that in another battle and the Ukrainian forces slipped away. The Ukrainians are used to seeing the Russian's make this maneuver

And what happened in February when this happened, Ukrainians were quickly able to bring up brigades and protect Kiev's flank. That failed that assault. attempted to encircle Kiev failed. Now a much broader encirclement is probably what they will do, not going after city if they need to take the city out again, the terrible thought that nuclear weapon would be used and of course the Russians now you'll notice that they are justifying these things by the attack on their infrastructure, the Nord Stream pipeline and the attack on the Dekarok Strait bridge And I can say look we're under attack
